Friends, friends, and more friends!!

Had a WON-derful night at Ganache Dessert House- Our daughter invited me to the Women's Ministry night out- Met some very special ladies, from Minnesota and Missouri---We shared back and forth, the rain poured down so loudly, everyone seemed to be having a great time--- just being with WOMEN!

God is so good, to have introduced me to awesome ladies---

Proverbs 18:24 KJV
[24] A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Light as bright as the noon day ...

I've noticed that while and when I'm speaking to someone about The Lord, it's as tho a brighter light or focus comes into my mind- it's a wonderful, satisfying feeling--- As I was pondering about it, this old scripture, one that comforted me many years ago, came back to my memory:

Isaiah 58:8 KJV
[8] Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward..

Stayin fresh

I find that if I don't write my inspirations immediately, when I go back to write it, it sounds "poof"--- Gonna write this one anyway-

The other day our Yorkie got into something horrible smelling, upon investigation, it turned out to be the stagnant water underneath the bird bath - my husband was grossing out so I grabbed Scout and headed for his second bath of the week-

The odor of stagnant water - so when the Word says in Isaiah 58: 11, "... And thou shalt be like a watered garden, and a spring of water, whose waters fail not."

How sweet is running water... But if we allow ourselves to become stagnant, we smell foul to others--- how do we continue with fresh running waters? By staying in the Word, spending quality time with The Lord....prayer...

To get rid of that old water under the bird bath, I just dumped it out...but if I don't do that on a regular basis, it will stagnate again....

Your talents will make a way for you

i kid you not, they will--- There's a kid that does dub stepping that has become viral on U Tube I'm imagining it may have gone this way: likely started off by just dancing with his buddies on the street every day- then someone took out their iPhone, videoed it and said let's post this - you're awesome, see what happens--- next thing you know, over a million people have viewed the video, he's then gotten the attention of celebrities, appeared on many talk shows to perform---

If you do not hide your light under a bushel, other people will see your particular gift.  Think of others and how they got started-- you're NO different!

Proverbs 18:16    A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

Why can't you see it MY way, Jack??

There are times that we are so sure of ourselves, but in actuality, we're likely seeing only half truth - Are we responding with a soft answer that turns away wrath? Or are we reacting to the other person, even before they speak? If we had a tape recorder to listen to ourselves in the conversation, would we have reason to be proud or ashamed?

I remember years ago my sister taped me and my daughter without my knowing- when I went back to watch it with a smile on my face, expecting to laugh, I literally went away in shame and broken hearted in the way I'd spoken to my own child- ever since then, hard lesson tho it were, I've tried to weigh my words to others since- I've made many a mistake and put my foot in my mouth many times- but oh the joy when I do get it right! Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

But Lord, this hurts so much!

When it hurts so much you feel like you can hardly breathe or that you could just die-you've got this pain in your heart that doesn't want to go away- memories that nag at you whether you want them to or not-some people have panic attacks, or deep depression, a word that barely describes what you're feeling- nothing anyone says really helps, not really-- maybe you have an idea that if this or that would happen, that's what would make it all go away--but what about the next time something painful happens? How will you handle it then? Or is it that just maybe our Father in Heaven wants more for us-like being strong and happy DURING difficulties? Hardening us to difficulties is what I would want for my own children; how much more GOD wanting that for US?

The very middle verse of the Bible is Psalm 118:8 "It is better to take refuge in The Lord than to trust in man." If we weren't actually ABLE to take refuge then He wouldn't have said it- therefore it IS POSSIBLE-- so how is it done? How can we take refuge in someone we cannot see? Because for one thing, He is real!

There have been so many times when I've cried out to Him and I felt Him, I've heard Him so strongly there was no doubt in my mind it was The Lord- "But from there you will seek The Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul." Deuteronomy 4:29 In this life, as long as we live, there will be trials, tribulations, but also good times, happy times, JOYFUL times---Our hope is to find out for ourselves that He is with me always, I am never alone-- and to be able to say, "Father, I need your hug!" And be aware of His presence-
