Lest I forget

I awoke this morning to a very cloudy rainy day, which seemed to match my mood, my feelings - could be guilt for not doing what I knew I should do about a given situation, concerns for just whatever- I admit, the lies of the enemy at times seem very convincing-
I walked into our front room and looked out of the window, and up through those dark storm clouds was this one “small” opening revealing what’s actually BEHIND those dark clouds: the blue skies are still THERE!!

It was like a REVELATION- it was like the Lord was showing me that even when there’s a storm in our lives, HE’S STILL HERE! He never left, He hasn’t deserted me.

I know, MANY of us know, that the world is gonna get VERY dark, and that’s putting it mildly.  But we must ALWAYS remember, HE IS ALWAYS WITH ME.

Psalm 27:1-14 KJV
[1] The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? [2] When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. [3] Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. [4] One thing have I desired of the Lord , that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his temple. [5] For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. [6] And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord . [7] Hear, O Lord , when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. [8] When thou saidst , Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord , will I seek. [9] Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. [10] When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. [11] Teach me thy way, O Lord , and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. [12] Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. [13] I had fainted , unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. [14] Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Oh, to be rid of our regrets!

Feeling exposed? Like all of your sins, negative junk, bad attitudes, and the like, are just open to anyone looking?

When we ask Jesus into our heart, repent and ask forgiveness for all we have sinned (let’s be honest here: we were ALL born into sin), He pulls down the curtain to our past. Gone. (FYI: that’s a heating pad & favorite books on the antique table. Just sayin’)

Hebrews 10:9-23 KJV
[9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all . [11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: [12] But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. [14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. [15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; [17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. [18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. [19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] And having an high priest over the house of God; [22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
